MALLON+TAUB UPDATE

We wanted to give you an update regarding the easing of England COVID-19 restrictions on the 19th of July 2021.

Following the publication of England’s COVID-19 summer 2021 and the Prime Minister’s follow-up statement on the 12th of July, the government has stated that health and care settings in England should continue to maintain appropriate infection prevention and control (IPC) measures.

We will continue to follow the College of Optometrists Amber guidance. This means from the 19th of July we will continue to request that you wear a face mask when in the practice including when receiving eye care. We continue to sanitise frames after handling and we will maintain good ventilation throughout the practice. If you are uncomfortable wearing a mask please call the practice and we will make appropriate arrangements to see you at a quieter time and request that you wear a mask in the consulting room for certain tests only, or arrange a remote appointment.

These measures will help protect you and all the team, help minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the practice, and give you the confidence that we can assess your eye care safely.

In summary from 19th of july 2021 we will

Follow infection protection and control guidance and continue wearing face masks.

Request that you wear a face mask.

Ensure social distancing remains in place in the practice.

Sanitise frames.

Maintain good ventilation throughout the practice.

We thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,

Joan, Shanah, Thom, Akram, Kim, Guillaume, Tanja, Vlad and all the Mallon+Taub team.
